Coming into the NBA, nobody knew that Pau Gasol would reach the heights he did in his career.

Gasol was drafted into the NBA in 2001 as the third overall pick selected by the Atlanta Hawks. He was then traded to the Vancouver Grizzlies before the 2001-02 season.

As a rookie, Gasol showed a lot of promise in his game. He was a solid role player teams would kill to have on their roster. Eventually, the Spaniard rose to superstardom and became a six-time All-Star and two-time NBA champion.

2) Tony Parker

If you look at Tony Parker, you wouldn't think that he would become a star in the NBA.

Well, Parker proved everyone wrong and became one of the most efficient point guards in league history. The Frenchman isn't like other flashy point guards, but he played his role perfectly, which helped Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili win four championships.

3) Dwyane Wade

Dwyane Wade is arguably one of the top five shooting guards of all time in league history.

Wade was quick, shifty and powerful, which is why he earned the nickname "The Flash". His offensive prowess was unstoppable, especially during his prime. He had an undeniable mid-range game and had the explosiveness to posterize his opponents.

Dwyane Wade has found success in two phases of his career. One was when he was the face of the Miami Heat and won the title with the help of Shaquille O'Neal back in 2006. Wade then proceeded to win two more, this time taking on a supporting role to assist LeBron James in winning two championships.

4) Dirk Nowitzki

Dirk Nowitzki is undeniably the greatest player of all time to put on a Dallas Mavericks jersey.

Playing his entire 20-year career with the Mavs, Nowitzki became one of the Europeans to inspire the younger generation from their region, like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic. While all hope seemed lost for Nowitzki to win the big one, he and the Mavs captured the title in 2011.
