Who is Damian Lillard's wife, Kay'la Hanson? All you need to know

NBA superstar Damian Lillard has been on a tear this season after being sidelined for most of last year with a significant abdominal injury. After starting strong last year, Lillard was shelved early in the new year with the injury, which required surgery and forced him to miss the remainder of the season.

During the course of his injury woes last season, Kay'la Hanson went from Lillard's girlfriend to wife. Although the season marked the first time since his rookie year that the team came up short of qualifying for the playoffs, things in his relationship were great.

With this season underway, Lillard and the Blazers (16-12) have been on an absolute tear, posting one of the best records in the Western Conference so far. As Lillard and the Blazers continue their revenge tour, many are wondering about Damian Lillard's wife. As the lucky lady in his life, fans have been eager to find out more about the longtime couple turned spouses.

Below you can see Lillard and his then-fiance going shopping for their twins.

Damian Lillard's wife has been with him for many years now. From the time they began dating a decade ago until now, the pair have had three children. After graduating from Capella University, Hanson went into healthcare leadership for a reported six years.

Hanson also owns a company and invests in real estate. As a small business owner, her nail business DIPPED was featured last year by the local news as one of the best Mother's Day gifts in the Portland area.

Despite the pair's longstanding relationship, there has been no word on her parents or upbringing beyond her college experience.

Their longtime relationship has given her an incredible front-row seat to her husband's greatness. With no signs of slowing down any time soon, the newly minted Mrs. Lillard is going to have plenty of great memories watching her hubby tear it up on the court.

After sitting out the entirety of last season, Lillard has picked up where he left off, improving his averages from last season. Lillard is averaging 28.8 points per game, just shy of his 30.0 ppg from 2019-20. At the same time, he has managed to bring his field goal percentage up to 45.9%, one of his best in recent years.

Add onto that a 3-point percentage just .01% shy from his 40.1% career-high several seasons ago, and it’s no wonder Lillard is helping carry the Blazers. Currently, the Portland Trailblazers are in fourth place in a stacked Western Conference.

With the Phoenix Suns (16-12) right on their heels, and the Denver Nuggets (17-10) just ahead of them in third place, things are heating up. Should Lillard manage to keep up his impressive averages, the Blazers could finish in the top half of the Western Conference.
