"Why he still wearing Warriors colored shorts": Fans react to Klay Thompson working on his craft during offseason

Four-time NBA champion, Klay Thompson, was spotted putting in work during the ongoing NBA offseason just days after news of him leaving the Golden State Warriors to join the Dallas Mavericks came out. Fans expressed their opinion on X, formerly Twitter, as they reacted to a clip of Thompson working on his craft wearing blue and yellow shorts.

"Why he still wearing warriors colored shorts," a fan tweeted.
"Those blue and yellow shorts are giving me flashbacks of the good years 😢💔," a fan tweeted.
"He actually look better than last offseason 😂 shit," a fan tweeted.
"You can put in the work all you want during the summer, but father time hasn’t been kind to him. I think we will see more 0-10 Klay than retro Klay," a fan tweeted.
"He’s the perfect fit for the Mavs," a fan tweeted.
"If he get to this new team and start playing like his prime-ish self again i will actually throw a f**king fit," a fan tweeted.

Klay Thompson had a disappointing finish to the 2023-24 season with the Warriors when he shot 0-10 during the play-in tournament against the Sacramento Kings. There have also been questions raised on his basketball abilities, which were likely fueled due to his underwhelming performances for most of the previous season.

However, Klay has displayed previously that he rises from the ashes. He will look to be back with a bang for the Dallas Mavericks in the next season alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Klay Thompson bids farewell to Warriors with emotional post

After playing for Golden State and cementing his legacy over the 13 years of his NBA career, Klay Thompson departed from the Warriors after he reportedly agreed to a three-year, $50 million contract with the Mavericks.

The five-time NBA All-Star bid farewell to the Bay Area on Friday with a series of photos from his tenure with the Warriors coupled with an emotional goodbye message for the franchise and fans. Thompson wrote:

"Oh Bay Area , there are not enough words and images to convey how I really feel about yall . From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for the best times of my life. It was such an honor to put that Dubs jersey on from day 1. I really just wanted to be the best I could be and help bring as many championships as possible to the region.
"The best part was not the rings though, it was the friendships I made that will last a lifetime. My family and I would like to thank all of the amazing people who work tirelessly to make the @warriors organization world-class. Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy it happened. Until we meet again. Sea captain out #foureverchamps #splashbros4life #oaklandforever."
