Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2024: Dates, host city, prize pool, and more
On the final day of the BGIS 2024, Krafton officially announced the third season of the prestigious Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS). This will be the second official BGMI tournament of the year. It will start in August and will run until September 29. The publisher has not yet revealed its complete details like registration, format, and schedule.
The overall prize pool of the BMPS 2024 will be the same as its inaugural edition or double that of its second edition, i.e. ₹2 crore. With this announcement of the Pro Series, teams will now prepare themselves for this official event.
BMPS 2024 Finals to be played in September in Kochi, Kerala
The Grand Finals of the Pro Series 2024 will be organized from September 26 to 29 in Kochi, Kerala. Thia is the first time that the state is hosting a major BGMI contest. The Finale of its previous edition was held last year in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and the entire first season was conducted online in 2022.
All Indian teams can participate in this upcoming Pro Series tournament and its registration date will be announced in the coming months. Several popular organizations will also receive a direct invitation to the event. After multiple stages, the 16 best teams will be given tickets to the Grand Finals.
Team Soul dominated completely the BMPS Season 1 and had qualified for the PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2022. Their member Goblin claimed six individual awards, including MVP. The organization grabbed a huge cash prize of ₹75 lakhs. The players who were part of the winning squad joined Carnival Gaming earlier this year.
Blind Esports clinched the BMPS Season 2. The the Manya-led lineup was spectacular in the previous iteration. Spower from the team was the star player of this prestigious tournament. The lineup was acquired by Team Soul in January 2024 and will aim to win the upcoming season as well.
On June 30, the BGIS 2024 concluded with Team XSpark becoming the champions. The Grand Finals took place in Hyderabad featuring the best 16 teams from the country. This was the first official BGMI tournament of the year and also boasted ₹2 crore in prize money.
The BGMS Season 3 has already been announced by Nodwin Gaming and will start on July 19. This is also a major BGMI tournament and will feature 24 teams. Its previous two editions were huge successes in terms of viewership.
