Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2024 to start on August 20
The 2024 edition of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) is all set to commence from August 20, featuring an enormous prize pool of ₹2 crore. Numerous BGMI teams have been invited to this grand event, which lasts approximately one month. The Finals will be conducted offline from September 26-29 in Kochi, Kerala.
The BMPS is a top-tier BGMI tournament, hosted by Krafton every year. This will be the third season of this prestigious event. The publisher made an official announcement during the Finals of the BGIS 2024, in June this year.
Krafton releases BMPS 2024 trailer
On August 12, Krafton unveiled the trailer for the upcoming Pro Series on its social media pages with the caption:
"Welcome to the thrill of BMPS 2024! As we gear up for one of the most anticipated events in the esports calendar, we're excited to release the official trailer of the tournament that starts on August 20th. This year, we're bringing together the fiercest teams from across the nation to battle it out in an arena where skill, strategy, and quick reflexes reign supreme."
Several organizations like Team XSpark, Vasista, MOGO, and others have already revealed that their teams have received invitations to BMPS 2024. However, the organizer has yet to reveal the number of teams participating in the tournament. The format and schedule have also not been announced yet.
Following disappointing results in previous tournaments, many teams will bolster their rosters with new recruits. Team Z has already announced the addition of Vexe. Meanwhile, Spower has left Carnival Gaming and will reveal his new home in the coming days.
Nodwin Gaming recently hosted the BGMS Season 3, where several popular teams competed for a prize pool of ₹1 crore. Team Soul emerged victorious after a thumping performance, while Entity Gaming finished as runners-up. Team Tamilas, Carnival, and Orangutan also enjoyed a great run.
BGIS 2024 ended in June this year, with Team XSpark crowned as champions. Global Esports, Reckoning, and Team Soul also did well. These teams are now gearing up for the upcoming BMPS 2024.
The inaugural season of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series was organised by Krafon in 2022, which had also the same prize pool as this upcoming edition. Team Soul was the winner of the tournament. While the second season was played in 2023, where Blind Esports was the undisputed champion.
