BGMI 2025 Esports first half roadmap revealed
Krafton announced the roadmap for the first half of the BGMI 2025 Esports Season. The publisher will host two major tournaments, BGIS and BMPS, in the first half of the year. Apart from these, the Battlegrounds Mobile India Campus Tour and Rising Star programs will also be held in 2025. Teams and players from around the country can now gear up for the upcoming season.
Krafton stated the roadmap for the second half of the 2025 season will be more exciting and will be revealed during the Grand Finals of the upcoming BGIS. Both major tournaments will feature ₹2 crore prize pools.
Road map for BGMI 2025 first half
The 2025 season will start with its prestigious Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) event. Similar to its previous editions, the fourth iteration of the tournament will be an open-to-all BGMI event where teams from India can participate.
Registration for BGIS 2025 will kick off on January 3, 2025, on Krafton India Esports’ official website. Its Grand Finals will be hosted in Kolkata. Furthermore, it will feature a prize pool of ₹2 crore, the same as its 2024 edition.
The Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) will be the second tournament of the first half of the BGMI 2025 season. It will be an invitational tournament, where the publisher will invite top teams from India to compete for a huge prize of ₹2 crore.
During the announcement, the company said:
“We promise you that 2025 would be bigger and better than ever. While we talked about the first half of 2025, you are eager to know what’s going to happen in the second half, well. For that, you will have to wait a little bit more. The announcement of the roadmap for the second half of 2025 would be done at the BGIS Finals. Don’t worry, I promse you that at the BGIS LAN Finals of Kolkata, we would be able to share the details of the second half of 2025".
The Campus Tour program will be held from 2025 to 2026. Krafton mentioned that the company decided to continue this program after its successful run in 2024.
The publisher introduced a new program, named the Rising Star, which will be launched for the upcoming esports players and creators. The company will reveal its full details on the official website of Krafton India Esports.
