BGMI Challengers Showdown 2024 Grand Finals Day 1: Overall standings, summary, and more
The opening day of the BGMI Challengers Showdown Finale was held on May 28, with 16 finalists competing across six matches and three maps. Reckoning Esports exhibited absolute dominance and grabbed the top spot with 98 points. The rapidly rising lineup clinched four Chicken Dinners, with star players Viper and Kaif garnering 17 and 16 eliminations, respectively.
Sitting at a distant second, Medal Esports secured one Chicken Dinner and remained consistent across the six games. Not too far behind, Team 8Bit amassed 44 points thanks to squad member Mighty’s performances. Jelly-led GodLike enjoyed a good run and stood fourth with 41 points and a Chicken Dinner.

Entity Gaming finished the first day in fifth with 41 points and 26 kills. Right behind them, the Gujarat Tigers, led by Shadow, grabbed sixth place with 38 points despite being average on the opening day. Boasting the same points tally, Global Esports finished the day in seventh. Notably, prominent squad member Beast picked up 12 frags.
Moving further down, Revenant Esports came eighth with 29 points, including 20 kills. The Sensei-led BGMI powerhouse must regroup in its remaining 12 matches to secure a podium finish. WSB Gaming and Genxfm also enjoyed a modest run, scoring 27 and 25 points respectively.
Fan favourites Team Soul stood 11th with 25 points and 16 finishes. Carnival Gaming also faltered on Day 1 and finished 13th with 24 points. Team XSpark, Team Tamilas, and THW were left languishing in the bottom three with 20, 14, and 12 points, respectively.
The Grand Finals will run till May 29 with the 12 remaining matches taking place over the next two days. The Challengers Showdown features a grand cash prize of ₹9 lakh. Fans can watch the BGMI finale on the YouTube and Rooter channels of Upthrust Esports at 12:30 pm IST.
