BMPS 2024 Round 1: Overall standings and highlightsÂ
Round 1 of the BMPS 2024 wrapped up on September 5, 2024, with the top 64 teams moving to the next stage. Each of the 128 participating clubs played 12 matches over two weeks. The bottom 64 teams from the rankings have been eliminated from this BGMI event. Round 2 will be held from September 7 to 10, 2024, where 64 teams will compete for 48 spots in the next stage.
Carnival Gaming, led by Hector, topped the overall leaderboard of Round 1 with 157 points, including 101 kills. The squad played aggressively in both weeks and won three out of their 12 matches. Goblin and Hector picked up 37 and 32 kills respectively.
Hyderabad Hydras was second on the chart with 145 points, followed by Team Insane. WSB Gaming and MOGO Esports ranked fourth and fifth with 138 and 133 points respectively. Gods Reign and Orangutan Gaming scored 132 points each in their 12 matches.
Note: Krafton will reveal a revised list of the overall standings on its social media on September 6, 2024, as some teams may face some penalty points for violating rules.
Overall standings of BMPS 2024 Round 1
Shadow-led Vasista Esports also had a great run in this first phase, scoring 131 points with the help of two Chicken Dinners. Silly Esports, an underdog lineup, took four Chicken Dinners and claimed 10th position with 122 points.
Fan favorites Team Soul and GodLike had a decent run in the BMPS Round 1 as they captured 11th and 13th positions with 115 and 112 points respectively. CarpeDiem managed a brilliant comeback in Week 2 and moved up to 22nd rank with 96 points. Team Xspark, the BGIS 2024 winner, held the 30th position with 89 points.
Numen Gaming, who signed the ex-Team Forever's roster, secured 39th place with 81 points. 4Merical Esports obtained 48th position with 77 points. Global Esports, led by Mavi, ensured 53rd rank with 74 points. Team Dragons and LOC claimed 68 points each, barely making it to the top 64 of the BMPS Round 1.
Team Tamilas, a top-tier lineup, failed to finish in the top 64 of the overall standings. The club came 67th on the list with 65 points. Team Z, led by BGMI star Scoutop, ranked 72nd with 60 points. Team VST, which features Snax, finished 75th with 59 points. RIP Mizo held the 78th rank with 57 points.
R Esports, which features popular player Regaltos, faltered completely and had to give up on their BMPS 2024 journey after placing in the 104th position with 33 points. Bot Army collected only 19 points. Team Snipy was the worst-performing lineup of Round 1 as the squad accumulated only three points in 12 matches.
