Entity Gaming bids farewell to its BGMI roster ahead of BMPS 2024
Popular organization Entity Gaming parted ways with its BGMI lineup on August 16, 2024, ahead of the BMPS. The decision came as a surprise to many since the club had been performing well this season, even finishing as the runner-up in the recent BGMS Season 3. However, for the last few days, many rumors have been circulating on social media regarding the BMGI roster's departure.
In July 2024, Cloud9 acquired Entity Gaming's European Dota 2 lineup. With its separation from the BGMI squad, the organization has currently no roster in any games.
Entity Gaming says goodbye to its BGMI lineup
Here are the four players that were associated with the club:
- Troye - Shiven Pawar
- Saumraj - Saumya Raj
- Aquanox - Harsh Rao
- Raiden - Divyansh
On August 16, 2024, Entity Gaming officially announced the departure of its BGMI squad:
"Thank you for being the warriors that you were. It’s with heavy heart we bid goodbye to this roster. They proved themselves on every step of our journey together. Wishing nothing but the best to our boys for their future endeavours."
In June 2023, the organization announced its roster, including Saumraj, Secret, Gamlaboy, and Shifter. Troye had been with the club since 2021. The team had a modest run in July and August 2023, coming sixth in the iQOO Pro Series and seventh in the Nodwin BGMI Champions Cup. The roster, however, failed in the BGMS Season 2.
Entity Gaming then bounced back in the Upthrust Diwali Battle 2023, emerging as a star performer. The team secured fourth place in the 2023 edition of the BMPS. Right after that event, they added BGMI star Pukar to the lineup.
Entity made an astonishing start to 2024, winning the iQOO Pro Series and Snapdragon Pro Series in February. However, the Saumraj-led roster failed to maintain its gained momentum and faced challenges in many events in the next few months.
Entity Gaming struggled completely in the BGIS 2024 as the team was eliminated from the tournament in the early stages. In July, Raiden and Aquanox replaced Galaboy and Pukar in the squad.
Led by Saumraj, the team delivered emphatic performances in the BGMS Season 3 and seized second place there. The squad fell just two points short of the winning mark. It will be interesting to see which organization will sign the roster for the BMPS 2024.
