“I really want to play BGMS Season 4 with the same banner” -Soul Manya after winning BGMS Season 3
After winning its third season, Team Soul's captain Manya has expressed his desire to continue playing the BGMS Season 4 under the same banner. Having signed this lineup eight months ago, the club ended up breaking a two-year title drought. The tournament was played from July 19 to August 11 in Delhi and had a total prize money of ₹1 crore on offer.
After this convincing victory, Manya dedicated the trophy to his club owner, Naman "Mortal" Mathur. He also thanked fans for their love and support. Since the current roster has played all three editions of the BGMS for three different organizations, Manya doesn't want to play under a new banner next time.
He shed light on this by posting on his Instagram broadcast channel:
"The amount of love I'm receiving after winning a trophy for igooSoul is iust overwhelming. I've played BGMS three times with three banners, but I really want to play BGMS 4 with the same banner as well."
Team Soul wins a major title after two years
Manya and Co. secured their first major title under the banner of Team Soul. The lineup delivered mediocre results in the initial stages of the tournament but showcased their signature form in the Grand Finals. Despite a tough battle between the top four teams on the last day, Team Soul came out on top by a slim margin. The team claimed the first prize of ₹55 lakhs alongside a blazing trophy.
The lineup was associated with Global Esports during the first season in 2022 and emerged victorious. However, their fortune turned in the second season under the Blind Esports banner when they secured the ninth position.
Animesh Thug Agarwal, co-owner of S8UL, responded to Manya in his Instagram broadcast channel and said (the following quote has been translated from Hindi):
"People come here as per our wish and go as per their wish. Be our family."
The squad has already proven themselves multiple times in the past three years and achieved many coveted trophies. These players notched up the BMPS 2023 under Blind's banner. They also secured the Skyesports Championship 5.0. The squad also came in second in the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series, held earlier this year.
Spower had parted ways with Team Soul just before the Masters Series Season 3, after which Saumay was signed to the lineup. Nakul and Rony from the roster played exceptionally well in the tournament. The squad will now fight in the BMPS 2024, starting on August 20. They will aim to win another season for the second time in a row.
