Medal Esports signs BGMI pros Infinity and SahilĀ

Medal Esports announced the addition of Infinity and Sahil Harjai to its BGMI lineup on July 6, 2024. The squad recently parted ways with Darklord and Kyoya. After their performances in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024, the organization decided to let them go. The new lineup will now focus on the upcoming BGMI majors, including the BMPS Season 3.

Medal Esports has seen below-average results so far in 2024. Despite featuring some top-tier athletes, the organization failed to perform admirably in many notable BGMI tournaments in 2024. The club was founded in mid-2023 and has not claimed any major titles since its inception.

Here is the five-man lineup, as of July 6:

  1. Encore
  2. Paradox
  3. Sayyam
  4. InfinityOP
  5. Sahil Harjai

Encore and Paradox are some of the oldest athletes in BGMI's competitive scene and have been playing for more than five years. Both have been part of Medal Esports since the organization's debut in June 2023. With the inclusion of two new up-and-coming names, they will now hope to win a major trophy in the coming months.

Infinity and Sahil previously played for Enigma Gaming, impressing everyone with their stunning performances. This squad recently won the Fearless Championship Series Season 1. Both have shown how big of an impact their gameplay can make in the past few months and will now try to achieve victories under the Medal Esports banner.

Infinity is a well-known face in the BGMI scene, as he has participated in some notable tournaments in the past few years. He has also played under the captaincy of Owais, a veteran athlete.

Medal Esports saw a poor run in the recently concluded BGIS 2024. The lineup, led by Paradox, came 21st in its Wildcard Stage and was eliminated from this prestigious tournament. The team had delivered promising results in the initial rounds but couldn't produce the same performance in the later stages.

Additionally, the squad couldn't meet fan expectations in BGMI's Grind Event, a qualifier for the India Series. In this tournament, they came 81st on the overall leaderboard. After its terrible run in the BGIS, the organization said goodbye to Darklord and Kyoya.

It has not been revealed whether Medal Esports has received an invitation to the upcoming Masters Series (BGMS) Season 3, which is set to kick off on July 19. The squad was sixth in this event's second edition. Both Paradox and Encore played for the team in BGMS Season 2.
