Spower leaves Team Soul ahead of BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 3
Following a six-month-long stint, Spower has parted ways with Team Soul ahead of the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Masters Series (BGMS) Season 3. The tournament is set to take place from July 19, 2024. The player has not yet announced whether he’s joining a new team.
Team Soul is reportedly set to sign Saumay to its BGMI lineup for the upcoming BGMS Season 3. Sid Joshi, the former manager of the team, has seemingly confirmed the player’s addition to the squad. The team, led by Manya, will try their best to win the Masters Series trophy.
BGMI star Spower's brief stint with Team Soul
Team Soul announced Spower's exit from its BGMI team via its Instagram page on July 12, 2024.
In January 2024, the organization acquired the ex lineup of Blind Esports, including Spower. The player had a decent run under the banner but failed to lift any major trophies in his six-month stint.
Team Soul recently took part in the BGIS 2024 and finished fourth. Despite making a good start to the Grand Finals, the team was inconsistent in the last two days. The side will hope to improve its results in the upcoming BGMS and finally lift a major trophy.
Earlier this year, Team Soul finished second in the iQOO Pro Series 2024. The team finished second in the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series and once again missed out on the first spot by a slim margin. They also placed second in the Skyesports Champions Series and the Skyesports Mobile Open 2024.
However, Spower did manage to win some third-party tournaments under the banner, including the Upthrust Multiverse Series, India Rising, and OneGame Pro Championship Season 1.
It will be interesting to see which team Spower will choose to play for in the upcoming BGMS Season 3.
Right after this event, the third edition of the BMPS will also kick off. Last year, Spower won the second edition of the tournament while playing for Blind Esports.
