Team GodLike faces tough challenges on Day 1 of BGIS 2024 Semifinals Week 2
GodLike Esports failed to make a significant start to the Semifinals Week 1 of the BGIS 2024. The crowd favorite posted a meager six points on the board in four matches on Day 1 and finished 21st in the overall standings. The Jelly-led lineup earned three points each in its first and second games, before failing to collect a single point in the next two matches.
GodLike was unable to score any position points as all six points came from eliminations. The team was quickly eliminated in all its matches. The squad must produce better results in the remaining 12 matches of the Semifinals Week 2 to survive in the BGIS 2024.
A total of 23 BGMI teams, who did not progress to the Grand Finals during the Semifinals Week 1, are competing in this phase. The best eight performers will be given a ticket to the Finale.
GodLike Esports’ performance on Day 1 of BGIS 2024 Semifinals Week 2
In the first game, held between Group A and B, GodLike lost its initial contest against 7Shore Esports. After losing three teammates, Tiger, the fourth member of 7Shore, took matters on upon himself and single-handedly eliminated the entire GodLike squad. Team Insane finished as winners with 18 points.
In its second game, played between Group B and C on the Sanhok map, GodLike eliminated three of Venom Gaming’s players. However, the team yet again struggled and was sandwiched between Galaxy and Prime Esports before getting eliminated with only three points.
The third encounter, held between Group A and B on Miramar, saw GodLike Esports getting hammered by Carnival Gaming. The team failed to secure any points. Rivalry Esports won a 16-point Chicken Dinner and took the plaudits.
In the fourth and last game of Day 1, GodLike was once again eliminated by Carnival Gaming without a single point. Magnet clinched the match with 16 points.
Saumraj-led Entity Gaming ranked first in the overall rankings with 46 points after Day 1 of the Semifinals Week 2. Galaxy, Inferno, Rivalry, and Limra also had a good day, grabbing 40, 38, 37, and 37 points respectively.
Hyderabad Hydras and 8Bit collected 33 and 31 points respectively. Carnival and Reckoning had a modest run on Thursday, finishing 10th and 13th. Lastly, Destro-led MOGO Esports stood 16th with 15 points after BGIS Semifinals Week 2 Day 1.
