Team GodLike struggles on Day 1 of BGMS Season 3

Day 1 of the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 3 Opening Week concluded on July 19. Fan favorite Team GodLike struggled in both matches held on the first day. The squad stood 13th in the overall leaderboard with five points. Led by Jelly, GodLike must do better in its remaining two encounters. The roster recruited Punk prior to the event.

The Opening Week features a total of four matches for each squad. The top 18 teams from the overall rankings will progress to the next round. Two of the six bottom teams will be selected from fans voting for the next stage.

Team 8Bit leads the overall scoreboard with 35 points after the first day. Revenant Esports, who recently added Saif and Flawk, finished second with 26 points. Both teams have enjoyed a great start to their campaign. Orangutan Gaming (23) and Vasista Esports (20) stood third and fourth respectively.

Match 1 - Erangel

The first day featured 16 teams from Groups A, B, C, and D. GodLike was sandwiched between Team XSpark and Orangutan Gaming in the fifth zone and was eliminated with only three points. Admino picked up two kills, while Jonathan clinched one in the battle.

Team 8Bit clinched the opening game of the BGMS Opening Week with 24 points. Meanwhile, WSB Gaming adopted an aggressive approach and amassed 16 points. Vasista (13) and MOGO (11) also played well. On the other hand, Team Soul and XSpark had a disappointing outing.

Match 2 - Miramar

The second encounter of the BGMS featured Groups B, C, D, and E. Team GodLike had a great opportunity to bounce back but lost to Team 8Bit and was eliminated with only two points. Squad member Jonathan picked up two kills in the battle.

Carnival Gaming took the win with 17 points. Revenant, Orangutan, and 8Bit earned 17, 14, and 11 points respectively. Moving down, Team Soul, Global, and XSpark gained nine, nine, and eight points respectively.

The remaining two days of the BGMS Opening Week will be crucial. All teams will try their best to qualify for the League Week on a positive note. The mega event is being held offline in Delhi NCR and will continue till August 11, 2024.
