Team Soul claims fourth place in Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024
Fan favourite Team Soul finished fourth in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024. The Manya-led lineup demonstrated a decent performance in the competition and secured a respectable spot, scoring 116 points, of which 82 came from eliminations. The squad also achieved two Chicken Dinners in 18 games played at the LAN.
The Grand Finals of the event was played in Hyderabad from June 28 to June 30, 2024, where 16 BGMI teams fought for the prestigious title. Team XSpark, led by their newest addition Shadow, played remarkably well and claimed the title. The winning team accumulated 142 points, including 100 eliminations, and claimed the first prize of ₹60 lakh.
Team Soul's performance in BGIS 2024 Grand Finals
On June 28, 2024, Team Soul began their India Series 2024 journey on a strong note, acquiring first position with 58 points and one Chicken Dinner in their initial six matches. The Manya-led lineup played confidently on the opening day. But the squad couldn't display the same intensity on the second day and fell to fourth place.
Team Soul added only 25 points to their name on June 29, 2024. However, they also managed one Chicken Dinner on the second day as well and held fourth with 83 points in the overall standings while Global Esports topped the table with 103 points after Day 2. Team XSpark was second with 89 points.
On June 30, Team Soul looked good in a few matches but couldn't maintain their rhythm throughout the final day. The crowd-favorite squad concluded their campaign with a fourth-place finish and earned ₹15 lakh in prize money. The team will now focus on the upcoming BGMS Season 3 and BMPS 2024.
Global Esports secured the runner-up position and impressed everyone with their aggressive approach and teamwork in the BGIS. The Mavi-led squad was eight points behind the winner and took home ₹30 lakh. Reckoning Esports registered third place and grabbed a cash prize of ₹20 lakh.
Venom and Limra Esports also had an emphatic run. Meanwhile, MOGO Esports, which features the 2023 BGIS winning squad, faced tough competition and ended up on a poor note. The Destro-led experienced roster scored only 79 points in 18 matches and held 14th in the overall standings. Carnival Gaming, a top-tier crew, also failed and finished 15th with only 65 points.
