Team Soul’s BGMI squad dedicates BGMS 2024 trophy to Mortal
Team Soul emerged victorious in the BGMS 2024 and dedicated the win to their owner and former PUBG Mobile/BGMI athlete, Mortal. Many members of the club had expressed earlier that they wanted to win a major event for the esports personality, and luckily, they did.
This squad's composure and experience were on full display in many crucial moments during the event. Eventually, the team acquired the prestigious BGMS title and ₹55 lakhs in prize money.
This was a flagship tournament hosted by Nodwin Gaming, which was played from July 19 to August 11, 2024. It featured a total of 24 BGMI teams, who battled against each other for a huge chunk of the ₹1 crore prize pool. The tournament's top 16 teams played 12 matches in its finale.
Team Soul wins a major BGMI title after two years
The organization acquired the Blind's former roster in January 2024, which had a dominant run in 2023. Under the banner of Team Soul, the lineup conquered their first major title. During an interview after the squad's victory at the BGMS 2024, Manya said (the following quote has been translated from Hindi):
"Many people doubted us based on the changes in the lineup and our League Stage and Playoff performances. Some of our own people also doubted us, but at the end, the result is in front of them. We dedicate this trophy to Mortal, as we had promised to win a trophy for him in the previous tournament."
Team Soul had a great run in the League and Playoffs stages during the BGMS. The squad displayed its true potential during the Grand Finals and scored 123 points with the help of three Chicken Dinners in 12 matches. Nakul, a member of this squad, was remarkable during this event and picked up 56 eliminations.
Spower had left Team Soul before the BGMS Season 3 and joined Carnival Gaming. Still, the lineup — under the leadership of Manya — once again emerged victorious. The squad will now prepare for the upcoming BMPS 2024.
BGMI Team Entity Gaming had an outstanding run in the BGMS, as the Saumraj-led brigade came second with 121 points. Team Tamilas got the third position with 113 points and three Chicken Dinners. Carnival faltered in the last two matches and, unfortunately, slipped to the fourth rank with 113 points.
GodLike was eighth in the BGMS after their mediocre performances. Team XSpark, Reckoning, and MOGO also had an average run. Global Esports played under the leadership of Arclyn and came 12th. Reven and 8Bit failed to perform well in the Masters Series Finale.
