Upthrust BGMI Challengers Showdown Season 2 Semifinals: Teams, format, dates, and more
The Semifinals of the Upthrust BGMI Challengers Showdown Season 2 is set to be played from May 20 to 22. 24 teams from the previous stages have reached here and will contest across three days for the 16 spots in the Grand Finals. The total prize pool of the Challengers Showdown is ₹9 lakh. It is being played in five different stages.
Out of these 24 participants, eight have been selected from this event's Redemption Week, while the remaining 16 were chosen from the Elimination Week. They will be divided into three groups of eight teams each in the Semifinals and will compete against one another in a Round Robin format.
The top 16 teams on the total points table will move on to the Grand Finals, scheduled for May 27 to 29.
The first-ranked team in the Semifinals will be awarded a cash prize of ₹75,000. The second and third-placed clubs will receive ₹50,000 and ₹30,000 respectively, while the fourth-best team will get ₹20,000 in prize money.

Reckoning Esports was the top performer in the Redemption Week of the event. Team Soul and Carnival Gaming also saw an impressive run in this stage. These two squads secured the second and third ranks, respectively.
Enigma, Team Forever, and Alibaba Raiders clinched the fourth, fifth, and sixth spots, respectively. Team Tamilas and Redzone got the seventh and eighth positions. These eight teams from the Redemption Week have entered the Semifinals.
MOGO Esports, who acquired the ex-Gods Reign roster, was the star performer in the Elimination Week. The Destro-led BGMI lineup looked to be in magnificent form after a long time. Revenant Esports was second in this round, followed by GenxFM Esports. Team XSpark, too, had an astonishing run, grabbing the fourth spot.
8Bit, GodLike, and Medal Esports have had a mediocre run so far in this event. They will endeavor to improve their results in the Semifinals. Hydra and Entity Esports, too, faced challenges in the previous stages but managed to secure their spot in this one. Global Esports and WSB Gaming, two of the top-tier BGMI teams, have made it to the Semifinals as well, but barely.
