Vasista Esports announces its new BGMI roster consisting Shadow, Apollo, and others
On July 6, 2024, Vasista Esports revealed its new BGMI lineup featuring star players such as Shadow and Apollo. The squad recently finished 13th in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 and then bid farewell to its previous roster. Vasista Esports entered BGMI's competitive scene earlier in 2024 and managed to reach the Grand Finals of its first major tournament.
The organization has now signed three former Gujarat Tigers players. The new squad will hope to win the upcoming BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) Season 3, which will start in August 2024. Several teams are now making changes to their squads for upcoming tournaments.
Vasista Esports' BGMI lineup
Here are the four players that have joined the team:
- Shadow - Arjun Mandhalkar
- Wixxky - Deepanshu Yadav
- Apollo - Nishat Iaspal
- Secret - Aarya Thakkar
On July 6, Vasista Esports announced its new signings via social media. The organization wrote:
"We are beyond excited to announce our brand new lineup, featuring some of the most renowned and formidable players in the esports scene! After our spectacular achievements in BGIS, we are ready to take things to a whole new level. With this powerhouse lineup we are gearing up to dominate and leave our mark like never before!"
Except for Secret, the other three current members of Vasista played for Gujarat Tigers in the BGIS 2024. However, they faced disappointment, as their team failed to qualify for that event's Grand Finals. Gujarat Tigers bid farewell to these athletes on July 6, 2024.
Shadow, the captain of Vasista's new lineup, has played for many well-known groups like TSM, Enigma, Numen, and GodLike Esports. The veteran player debuted in PUBG Mobile's competitive scene in 2019 and achieved some impressive feats while playing for TSM. He also played for GodLike for more than a year.
Apollo is another top-tier player and has been a part of many renowned clubs in the past as well, such as Nigma Galaxy and Revenant. Both he and Wixxky have played together for many organizations.
Secret, on the other hand, debuted in BGMI esports in 2022 and has been part of some popular firms. This includes Team XSpark, Hydra, Entity Gaming, and FS Esports. He will start a new journey with Vasista Esports.
All four players are experienced and will be aiming to make a return to BGMI's competitive scene as part of this team.
While the BMPS Season 3 will start in August 2024, its Grand Finals are scheduled to take place in September in Kerala.
