Is Ronnie Coleman religious?

The now-retired professional bodybuilder Ronnie Coleman is well-known for his outstanding achievements in the sport. Coleman has inspired a lot of people in the bodybuilding community in addition to his achievements in the sport as an eight-time Mr. Olympia champion.

Before he became well-known, Ronnie Coleman had admitted that his mother had raised him to be a religious person. However, a lot of people continue to be interested in his religious views and how they might have affected his life and career.

What faith does Ronnie Coleman have?

Ronnie Coleman has been transparent about his Christian faith throughout his career. His faith has been a guiding force in his life, rooted in a Christian upbringing and nurtured by his mother's support.

When Coleman was asked if the Christian faith he has plays a big role in his life, he stated:

"That's something my mum started, from day one, as far back as I can remember. I've had a good Christian background. We've always believed in God... My calling is to be Mr. Olympia."

A lot of people know Coleman through his frequent expressions of gratitude and appreciation for his faith in God, whom he credits for his dedication and accomplishments. He believes that physical achievements were only one aspect of his bodybuilding journey; another was serving a greater cause.

Coleman has stated publicly and in several interviews that his main reason for bodybuilding was to serve God.

"We are all put on earth for a purpose, my purpose is to be Mr. Olympia, and I thank God for choosing me to serve him in this way. There is only one reason why I'm here and that is to serve God, and to do pretty much what he wants me to do. God is the person that put us here, and he put us here for a reason, and that reason is to serve him. If we're doing what we're supposed to be doing by serving him, then we're all living a very good life," Ronnie stated back in 2019.

In a community where there is often a focus on performance and physical appearance, Coleman's perspective has helped him to stand out. He also believed that by being a bodybuilder, he could encourage people and show the strength of commitment and faith.

The 60-year-old Coleman's success story proves that strength and determination, with guidance from above, can help us pursue our true calling.
