“Attracts females with poor mental health”: IFBB Pro Greg Doucette blames bikini division for increasing steroid usage amidst females
IFBB Pro Greg Doucette is one of the first individuals in the fitness and bodybuilding community to have opened up about their steroid usage. Being completely transparent about his drug intake, Doucette believes it is in the best interest of the general population that people who are using performance-enhancing drugs be completely honest about it.
With the advent of social media and the internet, we are always surrounded by pictures of models and bodybuilders who look phenomenal but are most likely not natural. This creates unrealistic expectations in the minds of the general population according to Doucette.
In a recent YouTube video on his channel, he claimed that even most female athletes are abusing steroids, but due to lack of awareness, people don't realize that. Blaming the bikini division of bodybuilding for promoting unhealthy lifestyles, Doucette stated:
“What are the chances, the odds that you think a woman is gonna come out and make a post and say 'I'm a natty. I'm on Anavar. I'm doing testosterone primo, I'm using more steroids than last time. The answer is they're not! How often do you see it? I'm telling you it's very rare.” (01:59)
“The sport of bikini, it attracts females with poor mental health. Often times they were neglected, they have issues, mental health problems and so the sport attracts these people,” he added. (17:00)
Greg Doucette believes Alex Eubank is brainwashed
In a recent video, YouTuber Alex Eubank claimed he had top 10 percent elite genetics. However, Doucette seemed to disagree with his statement and pointed out that Eubank is so muscular and ripped that most people can't achieve that physique even after years of hard work.
Doucette claimed that Eubank possessed the top 1 percent of genetics.
“It's top 1% with ease. Do you really think that five to ten percent of the population can look like Alex Eubank by just working out as a teenager? It's not even close to that. He's probably 0.1 % genetics," he said. (07:52)
“And the reason he thinks he is 5 or 10 percent is because Alex has been brainwashed just like you guys. You are watching Sam Sulek and Tren Twins and so on,” he added.
Doucette further pointed out that it was always good to have realistic goals and not believe everything that you see on the internet.
