“Chill the f*ck out”: Chris Bumstead gives No.1 advice to young bodybuilders, mid-prep for 2024 Mr. Olympia
Chris Bumstead shared his message for young bodybuilders in an Instagram reel video a few hours ago (Wednesday, August 14). The young 5x Classic Physique Olympia said:
"I mean, I would just tell young bodybuilders just to chill the f*ck out and to be better than you on your first prep or the prep before."
Young but still with a lot of experience and a considerable number of titles to his name, Bumstead said about the intricacy of bodybuilding:
"Bodybuilding is such a nuanced game of, like perfecting as many little things as possible to add up into a big thing."
As per Bumstead, how one should train and what diet one should follow can still be learned. However, that is something you can only do by comparing yourself with yourself, as he said:
"So if you cheated on your diet twice, last prep, cheat on that once this time, you know, save some room for improvement."
And in this way, you'll one day make zero errors - but since nobody is perfect, he continued:
"But never expect perfection. If your first prep is your worst prep, the you're off to a great start."
What can be done? More importantly, what is to be avoided? Bumstead answered all one can think of as he concluded this message:
"So just accept things as they come and try not to over think it. Because there's always another show, Just learn from your mistakes and get better every single year. "
