Does Jay Cutler use creatine?

Creatine is a hot topic of debate in the bodybuilding industry, and Jay Cutler, the four-time Mr. Olympia, once shared his valuable feedback on its usage. The 'Comeback Kid' once revealed in a short video on his YouTube channel that he takes five grams of creatine before and after his workout.

"I take usually around five grams sometimes before training sometimes I might follow that up with another five grams. Recommended dosage can vary, as a professional bodybuilder I like to use it twice around my training session ideally your body is a sponge while you train," said Jay Cutler.

In another video on his Instagram, he shed light on the fact that creatine is the longest-researched, most effective product one can buy. In the reel, Jay Cutler was asked:

"If you could recommend JUST ONE supplement, what would it be?"

To which Cutler gave a subtle reply:

"I’m a firm believer in sticking to the basics, so my answer on this one should come as much of a surprise."

The four-time Mr. Olympia has a lot of faith in creatine and further explained that it has numerous benefits for your body, regardless of your gender. He also believes that creatine gives more swell and additional strength to the muscles while speeding up your recovery.

"Benefits of Creatine: Strength, you’re gonna be able to push yourself a little bit harder and you are gonna get more out of your muscles because of the ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) and everything else that your body is going to put out to utilize the Creatine. You always want to be at your best performance," Jay Cutler concluded explaining the benefits of creatine.

Another frequently asked question Jay Cutler's fans ask him is if one should take creatine if they are in the cutting phase. The four-time Mr. Olympia gave a setting reply once for all for this, saying:

"Definitely! I would suggest that it’s not one of those supplements that I would steer away from." He added, "I do cut a lot of my supplementation at least 10 to 14 days out from the competition, so I would definitely use it (creatine) in the cutting phase."

Cutler concluded, "You’re going to need obviously the strength and the recovery, and creatine will give you a lot of benefits. Of course, that muscle fullness too."
