‘God of Aesthetics’ Frank Zane reveals the importance of proportion in bodybuilders’ lives 

Frank Zane, the three-time Mr. Olympia, is known for the exceptional physique he had in his prime. He earned the title of 'God of Aesthetics' for his insanely ribbed physique and proportionate muscle symmetry. Having spent years competing and dominating the bodybuilding industry, Frank Zane recently shared the importance of proportions in the life of a bodybuilder.

In a recent post by the three-time Mr. Olympia, he mentioned:

"Proportion- is the blending of all bodyparts into a pleasing overall picture. It's what most people mistakenly refer to symmetry."

Continuing, Frank Zane shed light on the fact that achieving perfect proportions is not an easy task. He highlighted that achieving a perfect proportion is a journey of a lifetime, adding:

"Perfect proportion is a life long quests and is the most important physique goal a bodybuilder have."

A few months earlier, the Chemist revealed his secret to impressing the judges. In his Instagram post, the three-time Mr. Olympia revealed that it is all about how confident you are on stage.

"When you present yourself asymmetrically there is no opportunity to compare one side against the other so symmetry must be assumed," Frank Zane captioned the post.

The 82-year-old added that the trick is to showcase the side you're confident in and display his well-built physique to the judges.

"So, he shows this in his presentation and is able to emphasize strong points," concluded Zane.

Three exercises by Frank Zane to grow bigger

The Chemist called the exercise split the "key to muscle growth" and listed exercises for the three big muscle groups. Being a "good squatter," Zane listed squats for the first exercise.

The next exercise Zane mentioned was the bench press, which hits your chest and triceps if you use a close grip. The three-time Mr. Olympia used to lift an astonishing weight of 285 pounds in his prime, playing a huge role in his remarkable chest.

The last exercise is the most common among Gen Z gymgoers, none other than the deadlift, where everyone displays the strength they possess. This marks the last muscle group of the Big Three hitting your back.

The three-time Mr. Olympia ssummarized, "If you want to grow bigger do these exercises in your routine."
