"Slowly Decrease the Fat and Increase the Muscle Mass - that is the Key": Arnold Schwarzenegger advises Jason Kelce

Arnold Schwarzenegger has given his professional advice to Jason Kelce on how he could reduce his body fat without losing muscle. Jason and Travis Kelce recently hosted the most popular Mr. Olympia, Arnold Schwarzenegger on their New Height Show. @newheightshow shared a glimpse of the show on Instagram.

Jason Kelce mentioned that he was trying to lose some weight with a goal of only one pound every week. He asked Arnold:

"I want to lose it but maintain my muscle mass and I'm trying to monitor my protein, my carbs, my fats and make sure that I'm hitting at least one pound per body weight. Is this the model?"

Jason received fun and teasing interruptions from his brother Travis before he could finish, as Arnold Schwarzenegger started to answer:

"The most important thing is that you slowly kind of decrease the body fat and increase the body muscles so you just switch."

Weight reduces regardless of the body losing fat or muscle, and saying weight doesn't matter would be a lie. Arnold continued:

"It doesn't just have to do with the weight, of course you want to reduce weight because it's much healthier and you're much more agile and much faster. You're much more energetic."

He added that the fact holds valid that agility and energy will actually be better with more muscle and less fat in the body; but what's the actual deal? Schwarzenegger said:

"But you want to slowly decrease the fat and increase the muscle mass. That is the key thing and so with the exercising and with the machines and the weights and all of that stuff, you should be able to do that very easily."

Schwarzenegger, aware of Jason being a pro during his career, asked what his most weighted-squat was:

"And I know that you have lifted some serious weights and your best squat is what?"
"It's like 700 lbs something," answered Jason

But Schwarzenegger isn't a veteran for no reason. He himself has gone beyond 700 lbs during a deadlift in his youth. He remarked:

"I haven't done it in a long time, but I mean that's some serious weight."

As per Barbend, Schwarzenegger could deadlift around 710 pounds during his peak.
