Elite powerlifting sensation Larry Wheels has created numerous records in the realm of powerlifting over the years. Training since a young age, Wheels has had a successful career in strength sports including arm wrestling and powerlifting.

Larry Wheels has been open about his steroid usage with his fans. Using strong drugs in order to increase his strength, Wheels has been lifting heavy for quite a while now. Needless to say, training for strength sports often puts the athletes' bodies under a lot of trauma and risk.

Having suffered countless injuries over the years, it is often believed that whoever trains with Larry Wheels gets injured during their time together or shortly after that. The elite powerlifter himself refers to this as the 'Larry Wheels Curse and also made a video about it on YouTube.

Joe Lindner's injury training with Larry Wheels

Late fitness sensation Joe Lindner, also popularly referred to as Joe Aesthetics, suffered a back injury while attempting heavy deadlifts with Larry Wheels back in December 2020. Lindner pulled a muscle in his back while attempting a 573 lbs deadlift.

Noel Deyzel's front squat incident

Back in November 2021, popular fitness icon Noel Deyzel visited Larry Wheels to make a series of training videos and podcasts. During a heavy leg workout that the duo got into, Noel Deyzel almost got injured during his heavy set of 396 lbs front squat.

Just moments away from a severe bicep tear, Deyzel was fortunate enough that he got rid of the bar at the right time.

Jesse James West witnesses a near-death experience

Fitness icon Jesse James West trained chest with Larry Wheels and his team back in August 2021. During their heavy bench press session, one of the team members of Wheels attempted a 545 lbs bench press.

Despite having all the safety bands and straps, Jesse James West almost got crushed under the bar as his hands slipped. Fortunately, Wheels was there to lift the bar and help him.

Witnessing the Larry Wheels Curse in real life, Jesse James West was left speechless.

Larry Wheels' training partner dodges death

Pro powerlifter and fitness influencer Mike Edwards was doing 405 lbs bench press for reps during a training session with Larry Wheels in January 2022. After successfully doing quite a few reps, the bar slipped out of his hand and fell on his chest. Luckily, Edwards didn't suffer any severe injury from the incident.
