What is an aneurysm?
Aneurysm is a bubble-like structure that develops inside a blood vessel. It is bigger than that of the size of the blood vessel. It causes the blood vessel to become weak and likely to rupture, which causes abnormal internal bleeding. Rupturing of aneurysm in the arteries close to the brain is mostly fatal.
Aneurysms can be seen during tomography or magnetic scanning of the body (MRI & CT scan). If detected, the worsening of the condition can be prevented by lowering one's blood cholesterol and getting adequate sleep.
