Indian Grandmaster Gukesh D will cross swords with the reigning champion Ding Liren in the FIDE World Chess Championship final, scheduled to start on November 25 and end on December 13. The grand event is set to take place at Resorts World in Sentosa, Singapore.
The final match will consist of 14 games, and the first player to reach 7.5 points will be crowned the World Champion. After all 14 games, if the match ends in a tie, the final moves to a tie-break round.
The final will follow a time control of 120 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the remainder of the game, with a 30-second increment per move from the 41st move.

FIDE World Chess Championship final 2024: Prize money details
Total prize money: $2.5 Million (INR 21 Crore).
Each player will be rewarded with $200,000 for each game they win. The remaining money will be split equally between the duo.
If the match goes to the tie-break round, the winning player will receive $1.3 million, and the other player will receive $1.2 million.
