World Cadet Chess Championship 2024: Full schedule, timings, Indians in action, prize money, and where to watch
FIDE and the Italian Chess Federation are all set to host the FIDE World Cadet Chess Championship 2024 in Montesilvano, Italy, starting Friday, November 15. The international event will conclude on Tuesday, November 26.
There will be six sections in the competition - Open 12, Open 10, Open 8, Girls 12, Girls 10, and Girls 8 in age categories Under 12, Under 10, and Under 8. A total of 716 players across the globe are set to take part in the campaign.
For each section, there will be an 11-round Swiss System, following a time control of 90 minutes for the first 40 moves plus 30 minutes, plus an additional 30 seconds per move starting from move one.
A total of 21 Indian players would be in action across six different sections. The three best players for each section will receive a trophy and a medal.
