Arizona Wildcats Baseball Transfer Portal Tracker 2024: List of all players who've entered the transfer portal
The Arizona Wildcats are one of college baseball's most historically dominant teams. The Wildcats have won four NCAA Tournament championships and have finished as runner-ups in the College World Series four times. However, they could only muster an NCAA tournament appearance in 2024.
Hence, it shouldn't be surprising that the Arizona Wildcats have seen some players enter the transfer portal before the 2025 college baseball season. Ahead of the July 2 deadline, let's examine the Wildcats' search for new homes.
A look at all the Arizona Wildcats baseball players who entered the transfer portal this year
Here's a rundown of the Wildcats set to enter the free agency and their stats during their amateur careers. The stats are culled from the Arizona University baseball website.
1. Brandon Rogers, Outfielder
Brandon Rodgers was a regular starter in the 2024 college baseball regular season. Rodgers was featured in 28 games, with 20 starts in his sole season with the Wildcats.
The sophomore outfielder hit .185 with 12 runs scored, one home run, and two RBI. Furthermore, he drew seven walks to post a .284 on-base percentage.
Rodgers went on to start in four games during the preseason. He hit .182 with two runs scored. He'll be looking to join his fourth team in what has been an eventful collegiate baseball career.
2. Kade Huff, First baseman and catcher
Kade Huff has entered the transfer portal after the end of his true freshman season in Arizona. The Horizon High School product featured in four games during his second season with the Arizona Wildcats.
Huff is entering the transfer portal to join a program where he will be a starter and get more games. The baseman and catcher rotation at Arizona is deep, and it's unlikely that he'll get the reps he desires if he spends more time on the roster.
3. Nico Newhan, Infielder
Nico Newhan did not play in his freshman season at Arizona. Newhan joined the Wildcats after four years at Maranatha Christian High School in California.
Newhan was a star at the school and holds school career records for slugging percentage, runs, doubles, hits, RBI, and games played. However, he couldn't break into the Wildcats rotation in his first season playing at the collegiate level. He hopes to see more action in his next team via the transfer portal.
