Potential College World Series starting pitchers today

Florida

  • Jac Caglianone or Liam Peterson

Caglianone just threw one inning on Monday, and Peterson has rested since Saturday's game against Texas A&M. Florida's third starter Pierce Coppola is 0-9 and has a 9.16 ERA this season, which makes him an unlikely pick.

Kentucky

  • Mason Moore

While Nick Mingione has not referred to whom he will start for tonight's game, all signs point to Mason Moore. He has a 9-3 record and a 4.93 ERA.

North Carolina

  • Aidan Haugh

Scott Forbes previewed that his Tar Heels will likely start with Aidan Haugh.

“It’s a really good offensive lineup we’ll take it pitch by pitch,” Forbes said. “If we beat Florida State then hopefully we’ll have enough guys to compete against Tennessee again. We’ll start Aidan Haugh most likely.”

Florida State

  • Conner Whitaker

Seminoles coach Link Jarrett hasn't revealed who he will play in the upcoming game against North Carolina. However, most reports have Whitaker as the starting pitcher as Florida State battles to remain alive in the College World Series. Whitaker has a 5-0 record and an ERA of 4.94.
