Florida stars to watch
Jac Caglianone
Designated hitter Jac Caglianone is going to be the driving factor in how the Florida Gators are going to do throughout the College World Series. He has played in all 64 games and has been nothing short of dominant.
Caglianonehas a .413/.537/.868 slash line with a program-record 34 home runs, 71 RBIs, 80 runs scored and three stolen bases without being caught. He has been incredible at making contact, tallying 55 walks, while striking out only 26 times.
Tyler Shelnut
One of the more underrated hitters because of Caglianone being in the lineup is Tyler Shelnut. He has been doing well and has a .908 OPS with 16 home runs, 51 RBIs, 44 runs scored and four steals without being caught. His biggest issue has been his susceptibility to strikeouts, with 82 in 241 total at-bats. Sitting in the second half in the Florida Gators lineup he is going to be someone who may be overlooked.
The Florida Gators lineup has been struggling, scoring only seven runs in the first two games so the team needs to figure out how to hit more consistently here.
