Florida State College World Series 2024 Starting Lineup Today: Who's starting for the Seminoles tonight?

Florida State will look to move on from a gut-wrenching loss to Tennessee in the College World Series 2024 by facing Virginia on Sunday afternoon at the Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Nebraska. The first pitch will be thrown at 2 p.m. ET, with the No. 8 seed Florida State aiming to gain a victory to keep their hopes alive in the eight-team tournament.

However, a loss will end the Seminoles' hopes of winning their first NCAA college baseball title in the team's history. The Link Jarrett-mentored squad will hope that its defense would not blow up, like in their last game against Tennessee, where they surrendered 12 runs.

The last time Florida State and Virginia met was in the ACC Championship on May 24, with the Seminoles winning 12-7.

Cam Smith will start as third baseman for the Seminoles due to his amazing hitting numbers. In 63 starts, Smith is .401 with 16 home runs and 57 RBIs and has scored 80 runs for Florida State this season.

Right-fielder James Tibbs III will look to bounce back from his horrible outing against Tennessee. Last game, Tibbs, who is a .369 hitter, was 1-for-6 with one run. He has smacked 28 home runs and 94 RBIs.
