How many Georgia Bulldogs players could get drafted in the 2024 MLB Draft?

The 2024 MLB Draft is just eight days away and will see 30 MLB teams keen to get their hands on the best prospects from college baseball, including from the Georgia Bulldogs. The 2024 season saw some incredible standouts, and each team is bound to add some incredible talents to their rosters in the three-day event.

The Georgia Bulldogs produced a strong season in NCAA Baseball this year. They earned the No. 7 national seed following a strong regular season and won the Athens Regional.

Their season ended in the Athens Super Regional, where they missed out on the College World Series after losing Game 3 to the NC State Wolfpack. They finished the season with an impressive 43-17 record.

Among their talented roster, three names stand out when it comes to the MLB Draft. They are Charlie Condon, Corey Collins and Slate Alford. Here, we take a look at the chances of each of them being picked by MLB teams.

#1 Charlie Condon, 3B

Condon has arguably been one of the best hitters in college baseball this season. He made history with his exploits at the plate, which saw him pick up some of the most prestigious honors in college baseball.

Condon became the third player in college baseball history to lead the country in home runs (37) and batting average (.433) in the same season while recording an astonishing 145 RBI. He also stole three bases and had the highest OPS in the country (1.565).

His incredible displays at the plate saw him win the Golden Spikes Award, the Dick Howser Trophy and the Bobby Bragan National Collegiate Slugger Award. Condon is the second-ranked prospect in the MLB Draft and could be the man the Cleveland Guardians make the top overall pick.

#2 Corey Collins, 1B

While Condon has been making headlines, Collins' contribution to the Georgia Bulldogs hasn't gone unnoticed.

The senior enjoyed his strongest season this year, recording 20 home runs and 58 RBI at an average of .354. He earned Second-Team All-American honors for his efforts.

Collins ranks 170th among MLB draft prospects and has the ability to add decent depth to any team's hitting line-up in the minor leagues.

#3 Slate Alford, Infielder

After two seasons with Mississippi State Bulldogs, Alford decided to join the Georgia Bulldogs.

The junior produced a solid season, recording 17 home runs and 69 RBI at an average of .300. In the Athens Regional, he recorded three RBI at an average of .428 to make the All-Tournament team.

While he doesn't feature in the top 250 prospects for the MLB Draft, he has the potential to develop well in the minor leagues and become an asset to any MLB team.
