NC State Wolfpack Baseball Transfer Portal Tracker 2024: List of all players who've entered the transfer portal

The NC State Wolfpack have enjoyed their fair share of success this season. Led by veteran Elliott Avent, the Wolfpack went 18-11 in the ACC and 38-23 overall, earning the 10th national seed for the postseason. They hosted and won the Raleigh Regional and stunned the Georgia Bulldogs in the Athens Super Regional to make the College World Series for the first time since 2021.

However, they endured a tough time in Omaha, becoming the second team to exit the tournament after suffering narrow 5-4 losses to the Kentucky Wildcats and the Florida Gators in quick succession.

During the offseason, six players from the Wolfpack decided to increase their options for their future by entering the transfer portal. Here is a look at those six players who chose to do so:

Six NC State Wolfpack Baseball players who entered the transfer portal

1. Chase Nixon, Outfielder

Nixon enjoyed a stellar sophomore season last year, recording two home runs and 21 RBIs with an average of .319. This season, the junior couldn't quite hit those heights, recording 14 RBIs with an average of .255 in 39 games played. He will be keen to make an impression in his senior year by taking his talents elsewhere.

2. Win Scott, Pitcher

In three seasons with the Wolfpack, Scott made just 19 appearances. The left-handed pitcher made eight appearances this season, recording 10 strikeouts and allowing 10 runs in 10 innings pitched. He will hope that his fortunes turn around in his senior year, which will also be his final year of eligibility.

3. Chance Mako, Pitcher

The freshman came to Raleigh with a glowing reputation following his high school career, where he was ranked No. 162 overall in the 2023 MLB draft prospects. He has yet to meet his potential, and it's highly possible he will realize it in another program.

4. Garrett Payne, Pitcher

Payne took a redshirt after missing the 2023 season due to injury. This season, he made just six appearances, recording four strikeouts and allowing six runs with an ERA of 14.73 in 3.2 innings pitched.

5. Robert Nedry, Infielder

Nedry's successful high school career made him the 16th-best shortstop prospect and 75th overall in the state of Florida as per Perfect Game. He made just one appearance for the NC State Wolfpack this season, earning a walk during the February 28th game against Queens. He has the ability to add depth to any program's hitting line-ups in the future.

6. Christopher Zupito, Pitcher

Zupito was ranked 35th overall and the 14th-best right-handed pitcher in Pennsylvania as per Perfect Game. However, he failed to make a single appearance in his freshman season with the NC State Wolfpack.
