Florida's Jac Caglianone's GF Elli McKissock celebrates his all-time home run record: "Pretty easy to be proud of this boy"
Jac Caglianone, the star player of the Florida Gators baseball team, set a program record for career home runs on Wednesday when the team played against the Kentucky Wildcats in a Men's College World Series elimination game.
Batting leadoff and playing first base, Caglianone went 2-for-2 and walked three times in the 15-4 rout.
With a full count in the bottom of the sixth inning during Florida's elimination game against Kentucky, Caglianone hit a deep shot to right-center field off UK senior pitcher Ryan Hagenow, breaking the all-time Florida career home run with his 75th homer.
Jac Caglianone's girlfriend, Elli McKissock, posted an Instagram story to celebrate her boyfriend's achievement. She wrote:
"Pretty easy to be proud of this boy."
The team advanced to their second consecutive round of Men's College World Series semifinals against Texas A&M. The game was played just a few hours after the Gators vs. Wildcats game.
As per CBS Sports, Caglianone is considered the fifth-best player in this year's MLB draft class.

Florida defeated Kentucky in a win-or-go-home matchup at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha on Wednesday. But as mentioned, the team had another game against Texas A&M, which they ended up losing.
Though the game gave the Gators a chance to avenge the loss they faced in their first game at the MCWS, they were unable to act on the opportunity. The Gators' roster was blanked by a variety of refreshed Aggies pitchers, leading the team to a scoreless outing offensively.
Seven players went hitless against the Aggies, thus resulting in a lackluster performance at the plate. The loss was a painful one as they were highly favored by fans to win the 2024 WCWS title.
