Jac Caglianone home run record: Exploring Florida baseball star's college stats, notable achievements and more
Florida Gators junior pitcher and first baseman Jac Caglianone has been one of the best pure hitters fans have seen in a long time. His home run in the top of the second inning in the 2024 College World Series elimination game against the NC State Wolfpack was his 34th of the season and the 74th home run of his collegiate career.
The first-team All-SEC and All-American have been putting together one of the greatest seasons in college baseball history, and that home run tied him with Matt LaPorta for the most in program history. Caglianone already owns the single-season record and continues to add to that as the season comes on.

Jac Caglianone has been a superstar on the field for the Florida Gators as he has a .415 batting average with 80 runs scored, 34 home runs and 71 RBIs this season. In addition, he is the first player in SEC history to have back-to-back 30 home run seasons, tied the NCAA record with nine consecutive games with a home run and set the Florida Gators program record with a 30-game hitting streak.
Caglianone is also a good starting pitcher as he is 5-2 with a 4.76 ERA this year in 16 starts (73.2 innings).
