WATCH: Florida's Brody Donay opens CWS showdown against Kentucky with a perfect grand slam

The Florida Gators and Kentucky Wildcats had their elimination game in the College World Series moved from last night due to inclement weather. They are continuing it on Wednesday afternoon. With everything these teams have accomplished on the line, designated hitter Brody Donay came up to the plate with the bases loaded at the bottom of the first inning.

That sparked a seven-run first inning and gave the Florida Gators significant breathing room as the game continued. The grand slam really put the exclamation mark on the game and put the Gators in the driver's seat as they wound up securing a 15-4 win.

If the Gators can hold onto the lead they have amassed against the Wildcats, they will return later tonight to take on the Texas A&M Aggies in an elimination game. If they were to win, they would force a win-or-go-home situation on Thursday against the Aggies. But a loss would officially end their season and give Texas A&M the spot in the College World Series Finals.

Florida vs. Texas A&M baseball preview

The Florida Gators seemingly have their College World Series game against the Kentucky Wildcats wrapped up and will be taking on the Texas A&M Aggies later tonight. It will be a test of strengths going up against one another, as the Aggies have allowed three total runs in their two College World Series games. Meanwhile, the Gators have scored a total of 20 runs in their 17 innings.

These teams met during the first game of the College World Series and the Aggies picked up a 3-2 win. With the Gators getting off to a significant lead in the first game of the day today, they saved some of their pitching depth. With the power of Jac Caglianone and Brody Donay, hitting three combined home runs against Kentucky, they are going to be a tough team to silence.

Expect the Gators to win later tonight against the Aggies and force a winner-takes-all game on Thursday.
