WATCH: Tennessee baseball players engage in humorous banter during Vols media day in Omaha
The Tennessee baseball players have a massive College World Series game against Florida State on Friday. However, Vols pitchers Nate Snead and Zander Sechrist took some time to engage with their teammates and fans in friendly banter on Thursday.
The Vols compiled a video clip of their media day, locker room and behind-the-scenes bits and posted it on Instagram.
In the first part of the video, Snead and Sechrist joked about Charlie Taylor's height, and how he was moved to the front row for the group photograph. Then pitcher Drew Beam spoke about holding a bat for the first time since high school just to partake in some photo sessions.
After asking a few more teammates about their visit to Omaha, Snead and Sechrist joined Andrew Behnke, who was resting on a recovery table. Although Behnke didn't want to be interviewed, the two hosts with the mic eventually got a few words from the left-hander.
Snead and Sechrist then caught up with some young baseball fans at Charles Schwab Field before briefly interviewing Vols' Director of Baseball Operations Chad Zurcher, catchers Cannon Peebles and Stone Lawless, and infielder Hunter High. Finally, Snead and Sechrist had a quick chat with pitcher Dylan Loy, who expressed his delight at being in Omaha.
Notably, this is the third time in four years that the Vols have reached the College World Series and the seventh time in the program's history. However, they have yet to win the national title.
The last time Tennessee reached the CWS finals was in 1951, but Tony Vitello's team will want to rewrite history with the program this year.
