Oregon Ducks Baseball Transfer Portal Tracker 2024: List of all players who've entered the transfer portal

The Oregon Ducks ended a 40-20 season just shy of Omaha, with a Super Regional loss to eventual College World Series finalist Texas A&M. The Ducks will likely retain a solid nucleus for next season. However, Mark Waskikowski's team will have some transfer portal losses. Here's the list of Ducks who are already in or rumored to be going into the portal.

Matthew Grabmann, P

A right-hander hailing from Nova Scotia, Grabmann followed a promising last season with very little work in 2024. As a freshman, Grabmann started 10 games for Oregon and was 1-3 with a reasonable 4.60 ERA. He held opponents to a .237 average but did walk 30 batters in 47 innings.

But in 2024, Grabmann did not start any games and worked just 5 1/3 innings. He had a 1.69 ERA but did walk six batters. So control issues may have been the problem.

Luke Honikel, OF

A JUCO transfer, Honkiel did not recreate his prior success at Oregon. He batted .342 in his last two years but was just 1-for-10 at the plate for Oregon. The outfielder is from Yorba Linda, California, and may transfer closer to home to finish his college career.

Tommy Meluskey, OF

A freshman outfielder from Yakima, Washington, Meluskey did not see any action, instead redshirting for the season. Meluskey is the son of former MLB standout Mitch Meluskey. He starred as a pitcher and outfielder in high school and was ranked as the fourth-best player in Washington in his high school class by Prep Baseball Report.

Jackson Pace, P

A right-hander, Pace showed incredible promise but never quite broke through at Oregon. Pace made 11 starts for Oregon in 2023 but finished 2-4 with an 8.67 ERA. Pace started well, with a pair of six-inning performances (one with no runs, one with one run) in his first three outings. But conference play was less kind, and opponents hit .311 against him.

Pace did not pitch in 2024, redshirting the season, so he will still have three years of eligibility at his next school. Pace is from Hollister, California.

Cooper Sheff, IF

Cooper Sheff is an infielder from Las Vegas. His father played in college with Oregon coach Mark Wasikowski. Cooper Sheff was the top player in Nevada at his position by both Perfect Game and Prep Baseball Report. He did not play in 2024 as a freshman, instead redshirting.

Turner Spoljaric, P

A Canadian pitcher, Spoljaric's father, Paul, pitched in MLB for several seasons. Spoljaric saw significant time as a freshman in 2023, pitching his way to a 7-0 record despite a 6.55 ERA. Spoljaric was so trusted that he started a game in the Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament.

But the 2024 season was pretty near disastrous. Spoljaric started just three games and, in 13 1/3 total innings, posted a 14.18 ERA and a 0-2 record. Opposing batters hit .397 off Spoljaric. He has already announced that he'll transfer to Tulane.
