Oregon State players with unanimous All-American selection ft. Travis Bazzana

Oregon State standout Travis Bazzana was announced an a unanimous All-American pick. Bazzana, the standout slugger, a potential No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming MLB Draft, certainly had an All-American season.

All six major awarding bodies concurred on Bazzana's spot as an All-American. He's just the sixth unanimous All-American in Oregon State history. Here are the rest:

Michael Conforto, OF (2014)

Conforto had three great seasons at Oregon State. He batted .340 in college with 31 homers of his three seasons. He boasted an astounding 1.020 OPS. He was a second-team All-American as a freshman in 2012 and was first-team his last two seasons, including a unanimous nod in 2014.

A first-round pick of the New York Mets, Conforto has hit .251 with 156 MLB homers, including a career high of 33 in 2019.

Jake Thompson, P (2017)

After three years at Oregon State, Thompson was just 6-6 for his career. In 2017, he exploded for a 14-1 senior season with a 1.96 ERA and 119 strikeouts. That incredible production made him the Beavers' second unanimous All-American.

Thompson was a fourth round pick in 2017. A reliever since 2019, he hasn't made it above class AAA in the minor leagues.

Adley Rutschman, C (2019)

A legendary catcher, Rutschamn hit .352 with 27 homers in his three years at Oregon State.

In his junior season, he hit .411 with 17 homers. He was arguably the best player in the nation that season, and with nothing else to prove, moved on to the professional ranks.

Rutschman was the top pick in the 2019 MLB Draft by the Orioles. He made it to the big leagues in 2022. He's hitting .273 with 48 homers in MLB and seems to be a future star in the making.

Jacob Melton, OF (2022)

A JUCO transfer, Melton starred in 2022 for OSU. He hit a robust .360 with 17 homers and 83 RBIs. He posted a 1.094 OPS that season, which was down from an 1.162 OPS in the previous season.

Melton was a second round MLB pick in 2022. He's at class AA in the Houston Astros organization at the moment.

Cooper Hjerpe, P (2022)

In 2022, Hjerpe, a lefty pitcher, was nearly unhittable for Oregon State. He went 11-2 with a 2.53 ERA. Hr struck out an incredible 161 batters in just 103 1/3 innings pitched.

Hjerpe was chosen in the first round of the 2022 MLB Draft by the Cardinals. He pictches in the class AA affiliate.

Travis Bazzana, IF (2024)

Bazzana hit .407 but showed impressive power in hitting 28 homers and knocking in 66 runs.

He also stole 16 bases and has showed the full range of five-star potential to MLB staff. He's expected to be chosen with one of the top handful of picks in the upcoming MLB Draft.
