Here's a look at three Big 12 prospects that could hear their names called on Day 3:

3. Ethan Lanthier, Pitcher - Kansas

Ethan Lanthier is a right-handed pitcher for Kansas University. The Northfield High School product initially spent two years at St. Cloud State. He picked Kansas over Kentucky, Texas A&M, Georgia, and Nebraska offers.

Lanthier was tabbed the No. 16 MLB Draft prospect for 2024 in the Big 12 by D1Baseball and the No. 34 relief pitcher for 2024 by the same outlet. The right-handed pitcher had a decent season at Kansas and looks poised to be a very late Day 3 pick.

2. Ryan Ure, Pitcher - Oklahoma State

Ryan Ure is a left-handed pitcher for Oklahoma State University. The Eaton High School product was a contributing member of the OSU roster throughout his stint.

Ure racked up 22 strikeouts in 22 career games at OSU. Ure is unflappable when he's in the zone and could be drafted by a team looking for a servicable LHP.

1. Ben Hartl, catcher - Kansas

Ben Hartl is a stellar catcher for Kansas University. The Springfield High School product started his collegiate baseball career at Heartland Community College before moving to Kansas.

Hartl said about choosing Kansas:

"It felt like this was the school where I can call home my final two years of college. I believe the coaching staff will guide me to develop into the best individual and ball player I can be."
