Tre' Morgan is the Tampa Bay Rays' first baseman and left fielder, but he was a standout player with the LSU Tigers before joining the Rays.

How did Tre' Morgan perform at LSU?

Tre' Morgan joined the LSU Tigers as the 220th-ranked player in the country. He was fresh off an impressive high school career at Brother Martin High, where he was a 2019 First Team All-District, All-Metro and All-State selection.

Tre' Morgan joined the Tigers for the 2021 college baseball season and amassed a stat line of .357 with 16 doubles, four triples, six home runs, 64 runs scored, 42 RBI and 15 stolen bases.

He was the program's lead-off hitter in 34 of 63 games. Morgan ranked in the top-five in the SEC in batting average, base hits, runs scored, triples, doubles and stolen bases. He earned second-team all-SEC and Freshman all-SEC honors for his efforts in Year 1.

Morgan started all 62 games in his sophomore season at LSU. The versatile hitter batted .324 with 18 doubles, one triple, five home runs, 50 runs scored and 54 RBI. The Tigers star finished top-15 in the SEC in hit-by-pitch, doubles and base hits. He earned 2022 SEC All-Defensive Team honors for his efforts.

Morgan entered the 2023 collegiate baseball season knowing that he needed to finish with a flourish, and he did just that. The Tigers' star batted .316 with 15 doubles, four triples, nine home runs, 53 RBIs and 66 runs.

He ranked in the top-10 in the SEC in triples, sacrifice flies, hit-by-pitch, hits and runs scored. Morgan was instrumental in the team's College World Series triumph and was named to the 2023 College World Series All-Tournament Team. The Tampa Bay Rays later drafted him in round three of the 2023 MLB Draft.
