How many SEC teams qualified for 2024 College World Series?
Three SEC teams qualified for the 2024 College World Series: the Tennessee Vols, Texas A&M Aggies and Florida Gators.
The Tennessee Vols qualified for the CWS with the best regular-season record, and they were rewarded with the first seed heading into the postseason. The Vols were coached by Tony Vitello and led by Christian Moore's bat. They went on to capture their first College World Series title with a victory against a fellow SEC team.
The Texas A&M Aggies qualified for their second College World Series in three years. The franchise entered the postseason as the third seed under the watchful guidance of head coach Jim Schlossnagle. They made it to the title game, where they narrowly lost to the Tennessee Vols.
The final SEC team to qualify for the 2024 CWS was the Florida Gators. The Gators entered the postseason unseeded but still managed to make a deep run in the College World Series. They might not have made the title game like in 2023, but their fans can look back at the just-concluded college baseball season with some form of pride.
