Jac Caglianone will start as Florida's pitcher against NC State on Monday, the Gators have confirmed.

Caglianone is having another strong season with Florida and he has racked up a 5-2 record heading into the matchup against the Wolfpack. The left-hander has racked up 82 strikeouts and 48 walks across 72.2 innings pitched at a 4.71 ERA.

Notably, Caglianone has pitched at Charles Schwab Field before. Last season, he had the ball in his hand for two games when Florida reached the College World Series finals. Eventually, the Gators lost against LSU at the final hurdle.

This time around, Caglianone will be pitching to keep Florida alive in the CWS. It will be interesting to see how he fares against NC State on Monday.

Florida coach Kevin O'Sullivan spoke to media ahead of the team's eliminator against NC State.

"Obviously we have no choice at this point," O'Sullivan said. "It's been a tough month for us. It's been a tough year for us. But it's been a tough month for us because we've had to, every game was so meaningful. This one's no different than what we've been going through for the past month."
