3 players Kansas HC Bill Self could target from the transfer portal ahead of 2024 season ft. Kadary Richmond
The Kansas Jayhawks faced a second-round disappointing loss in the NCAA tournament 2024, and coach Bill Self is using his cards to bounce back in the upcoming season. He has roped in some top talent earlier and is closely monitoring the transfer portal to pick the cream for the Jayhawks.
Florida guard Riley Kugel earlier committed to Bill Self as did Zeke Mayo of South Dakota State. Picking the Wisconsin guard AJ Storr - who's averaging 16.8 points and 3.9 rebounds this season - has been widely praised as a top recruitment move by Self.
While trying to rebuild the Jayhawks for the season ahead, Bill Self had to deal with many players opting for the NBA draft in June. As the recruitment hunt in the transfer portal is on, who are the top players Bill Self should consider?

Who could be the top picks by Bill Self for the 2024-25 season?
Kadary Richmond
The statistics of Seton Hall Pirates guard paint a balanced picture of his offensive, playmaking and defensive capabilities.
Kadary averaged 15.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.1 assists this season. He had a 44.1 field goal percentage and scored 27 percent from the 3-point range. Richmond was instrumental in Seton Hall's NIT championship victory over Indiana.
He had 21 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and two blocks in the game. The country's top programs including Blue Blood Duke, Kentucky Wildcats, Arkansas, Illinois and Oklahoma have expressed interest in recruiting him.
Koby Brea
Dayton Flyers guard Koby Brea could be a decent addition to Bill Self's offense at the Jayhawks.
Koby is the top shooter in the country from the 3-point range. He posted an average of 11.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in the 2023-24 season. He had a 51.2 field goal percentage and shot 49.8 from the 3-point range.
He was scheduled to visit the UConn Huskies this weekend and will be hosted by Duke on Tuesday.
Vladislav Goldin
The 22-year-old Owls Atlantic center averaged 15.7 points and 6.9 rebounds in the 2023-24 season.
He posted an impressive field goal percentage of 67.3. The seven-foot-one Russian athlete has declared for the NBA draft in June but has entered the transfer portal also due to his fifth-year college eligibility. Goldin would pair well with the recruits including AJ Storr, Riley Kugel and Zeke Mayo.
