#5. Joyce Edwards, South Carolina
Joyce Edwards is one of the top recruits in the Gamecocks' 2024 class, which is currently the second-best in the country. The Camden High School passout won the 2023-24 Gatorade National Girls Basketball Player of the Year for her exceptional performances on the court, which led to the Bulldogs winning the Class AAA State Championship.
In the 2023-24 season, Edwards averaged an astonishing 31.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, 4.5 steals and 4.0 assists. Her addition to an already stacked Gamecocks roster could play a big part in their NCAA Tournament title defense next season.

Aaliyah Nye was a key player in the Crimson Tide's run to the second round of March Madness in the 2023-24 season. She set a new single-season program record for 3-pointers made (108) and was also the second-highest single-season tally in conference history.
After entering the transfer portal, Nye relieved Crimson Tide fans by opting to commit to the program for her final season of eligibility. She will hope to produce a season worthy of earning a top WNBA draft pick, which could be critical to the Crimson Tide's chances of success in 2024-25.

Laila Phelia was one of the standouts for the Michigan Wolverines in the 2023-24 season. She averaged 16.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists and made the All-Big Ten first team. Following the 2023-24 season, Phelia decided to transfer to the Texas Longhorns, who will make their SEC debut in the upcoming season.
Phelia brings immense scoring consistency and experience to the Longhorns, which could help them make a deep run in the 2024-25 season.
