7 men's college basketball players with the highest NIL valuation in 2024-25
As college basketball season starts rolling, players are being endlessly compared. One point that doesn't generally get compared is NIL value. After all, player endorsements and compensation is generally as guarded as Fort Knox.
However, On3sports estimates NIL value based off a combination of performance and extraneous factors. Here's the top seven college basketball NIL valuations.
Top seven men's college basketball NIL valuations
#7 Dylan Harper, Rutgers G ($1.6 million)
The highly recruited freshman guard entered Rutgers as a big-time standout. In his first collegiate game, Harper scored 20 points with four assists, three rebounds and three steals. Perhaps the biggest red flag against Harper would be 1 for 6 free-throw shooting.
#6 Caleb Love, Arizona G ($1.7 million)
Love starred for three seasons at North Carolina and is now in his second season at Arizona. After scoring 17 points to open the new season, Love has a college total of 2,141 points.
He has canned 295 3-point shots in his college career. The 6-foot-4 Love is instant offense and commands a massive NIL presence.
#5 Hunter Dickinson, Kansas C ($2 million)
A two-time All-American who starred for three years at Michigan and is opening his second season at Kansas, Dickinson is a great college player.
His NBA ceiling is probably fairly low, but Hunter Dickinson's 2,224 points and 1,154 rebounds bespeaks an amazing college career. Dickinson is a college NIL standout.
#4 Hunter Sallis, Wake Forest G ($2 million)
A reserve at Gonzaga, Sallis has become a steady star at Wake Forest. Last year, Sallis averaged 18.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
He had 10 points and five assists in the first game of this season. His value is a mild surprise, but as a player with an NBA future, having Sallis back was certainly valuable to the Demon Deacons.
#3 R.J. Davis, North Carolina G ($2 million)
Davis is playing a fifth season at North Carolina and is climbing all the UNC record lists. He has scored 2,112 points on 277 3-pointers at Carolina.
He's an elite scorer and started the new season with 24 points in the opener. Davis's experience, maturity and instant offense can't be matched. His NIL value might even be underestimated for the Tar Heels.
#2 Mark Sears, Alabama G ($2.1 million)
After two years at Ohio, Sears is now working on three years at Alabama. A shade undersized at a listed 6-foot-1 height, Sears has never struggled to score points.
An All-American last year, he's sitting at 2,169 collegiate points with 471 assists. Sears opened the new season with a 20-point game. He will be a massive threat to help Alabama return to the Final Four and is worth every NIL cent.
#1 Cooper Flagg, Duke F ($2.6 million)
The top recruit not only in this class but probably in the last few, nabbing Flagg was a massive feat by Duke. It may have taken a big financial commitment, but Flagg's skills and hype are virtually unmatched.
Big enough to play power forward, skilled enough to be a shooting guard, Flagg does it all. He had 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists in his first college game.
