Anthony Edwards college stats: How did the Minnesota Timberwolves superstar perform for Georgia?

Anthony Edwards, the No. 1 pick of the 2020 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, played for Georgia Bulldogs in his college career. However, he declared for the NBA draft after his one-and-done season (2019-20) with Georgia.

Edwards was a five-star recruit and a top-five prospect by 247Sports and ESPN and was considered the top shooting guard in the class of 2019. He rejected offers from big programs like Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina and Florida State to commit to the Bulldogs in 2019 under head coach Tom Crean.

On his debut for Georgia in Nov. 2019, Edwards scored 24 points, the most points for a Georgia freshman on his debut since 1979. A season-high of 37 points came against Michigan State at the Maui Invitational. He led the Bulldogs to a record 16-16 season as a freshman.
