The 10-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony has expressed his excitement ahead of his decision to either go with the USC Trojans or the Syracuse Orange tomorrow with just one word.

On Thursday, Carmelo Anthony was a guest on the "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" where he addressed a rumor concerning his son's college basketball future.

"I'm a little nervous. He's deciding which college he wants to go to. Its down to Syracuse and USC. So we'll see," Carmelo Anthony had said.

It was also mentioned that Kiyan would announce his final decision on Carmelo Anthony's "7 PM in Brooklyn" show tomorrow.

The rapid rise of Kiyan Anthony in high school hoops

Kiyan Anthony enjoyed a rapid rise in high school basketball due to his incredible performances at Long Island Lutheran High School (New York) as a young shooting guard. He displayed his ability to be an elite scorer and also chipped in by securing his fair share of assists on the offensive end of the basketball court.

The 17-year-old has a long reach and is among the best young shooting guards in the country. He has the potential to post big numbers in college basketball in the future. However, it won't be easy for Kiyan to replicate what his father did for Syracuse if he decides to join the Orange.

In 2002, Carmelo Anthony made a name for himself at Syracuse University despite playing for them for just one year. He managed to prove himself by scoring at a high clip for them and also grabbing a lot of rebounds.

The former NBA star dropped 22.2 points and secured 10.0 rebounds per game for the Orange during the 2002-03 season, which helped the university win its first NCAA championship.

However, it remains to be seen whether Kiyan opts to walk in his father's footsteps by choosing Syracuse tomorrow. Another option for him would be to go with the USC Trojans, where he could go on to create his own legacy in college basketball.
