When asked about whether all the social media attention has changed him, Flagg had an honest reply.

"Not really, no," Flagg said. "I don't really pay attention to that much."

The Duke freshman has 855k followers on Instagram and is one of the most viewed college basketball players on YouTube following his rapid rise in the high school ranks.

The 2021-22 Gatorade Maine Player of the Year has led the Blue Devils to two convincing wins against Army West Point and Maine.

Flagg is averaging 15.5 points, 9.0 boards, 4.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 2.5 steals. His ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor has been on full display.

Flagg was named the Gatorade Player of the Year after his excellent senior season at Montverde Academy in Florida. He posted 16.1 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 3.9 apg, 2.7 bpg and 1.6 spg.

247 Sports Director of Basketball Eric Rossi once gave an insight on what makes Flagg a standout prospect.

“Cooper Flagg stands out from the crowd for his versatility, intensity and commitment to playing on both sides of the ball. In a situation where he was the lone star player, he would put up monster scoring numbers, but his selflessness and ability to still produce at a high level on a very complete roster really stands out.
"He has positional versatility, size and is arguably the best defensive player in the class of 2024. Bottom line, he’s the ultimate competitor and a true winner who is very deserving of all the accolades he’s received.”

Cooper Flagg and Duke will face the Kentucky Wildcats in the Champions Classic at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Tuesday.
